Let me take a second to finish wiping the drool off my face.

I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK!

I'm going to be honest when I tell you that I read the first book "The Vincent Boys" and didn't really care that much for it.

Don't get me wrong Beau was hot and Ashton was cool...I just couldn't fall for them.

I was super hesitant to read "The Vincent Brothers" because I didn't care for the first book and because I didn't like Sawyer or Lana all that much. Atleast from what I saw in the first book.

But holy crap was I wrong! They were amazing.

The gist is that Sawyer and Ashton (the main chicky from the first book) dated for like 3 years and then broke up and now she's with Beau. Not really a spoiler since you can read it on the back of either book.

Anywho Sawyer is all heartbroken and blah blah blah.

Enter Lana who is Ashtons cousin and who has been in love with Sawyer for like ever.

Lana goes to stay with Ashton for the summer in hopes of getting Sawyer to notice her.

Boy oh boy does he notice her.

I adored Sawyer and Lana as a couple so freaking much! I kid you not I finished this book in 4 hours. I almost picked it up again right after I finished it.

And let me just tell you there was sexy parts. Ooh buddy.

I would definatly recommend this book to you if you're looking for a super awesome amazing contemporary. Even if you didn't like "The Vincent Boys" you def need to check this out!

This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith

If the Cheshire Cat and Cameron Diaz smiles had a baby you'd know how big my smile is right now.

I LOVED this book.

I've heard mixed reviews on The Statistical Probabilty of Love At First Sight so I was a bit nervous when I started this book.

To be honest I want to kick myself for not picking this up the DAY IT CAME OUT!

Why self did you not think smarter? Geesh.

This book is about Graham and Ellie.

One night Graham accidentaly sends Ellie an e-mail about his pet pig Wilbur (clever Jennifer E. Smith, clever) and then the two continue to write back and forth.

Through all of the e-mails the two start to really fall for each other. They get to be themselves while writing back and forth. Since they've never met they can say things and not worry their being judged.

The shocker of the story is that Graham is actually a famous actor and he's about to shoot his new movie in the same town Ellie lives in.

The two meet pretty early in the book which is awesome in my opinion. I would've hated to wait until I only had 100 pages left to see them actually meet.

Of course since he is famous their relationship isn't exactly easy. Ellie also has a secret that she has to keep hidden so that doesn't help matters either.

I adored Ellie and Graham as a couple. I thought they were super adorbs and I LOOOOVE them. Graham was also super crush-worthy. (BONUS!)

I would definatly recommend you check this book out. I used to be a girl scout so I can legally say scouts honor you will love it!

Kendare Blake Interview

I don't know if all of you are aware of this but I am the luckiest person on the freaking planet.

I got to interview Kendare Blake!

Crazy right?

I'm still jumping around as i'm typing this!

She was awesome to get to talk to and I feel soooo stinkin' special to have had the chance to interview her!

Some of her answers made me laugh really hard so be warned that she's really funny.

1. There are so many Y.A. books about vampires and werewolves, why did you choose to write about a ghost?

I don't know that it was a conscious choice. The character of Anna showed up and I knew I wanted to write about her. But I don't really think of her as a ghost. I think of her as a dead girl. The distinction is small, but I think it's there.

2. Since you are a female what made you want to write Anna Dressed in Blood and Girl of Nightmares in a boys point of view?

Again, I don't think I decided. Cas just started to tell the story. Looking back, I'm lucky that he did. It would have been an entirely different (and shorter) book if I'd been stuck in that house with Anna the whole time.

3. My favorite characters are Anna and Thomas. Which character did you have the most fun writing?

Thomas was definatly a kick. I loved getting to know him right alongside Cas. And Morfran too, Thomas' voodoo grandfather. What a salty old dude.

4. Would you ever want to have the same job as Cas?

If I had his natural ability to kick murderous dead ass? Sure. Why not. It'd be something to do on a Tuesday night. But I'd probably scream a whole lot more than he does.

5. Have you ever loved a book sooo much that you wish you had written it?

Of course. So many. The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley, just about anything by Milan Kundera...some of the less twisted Bret Easton Ellis, if such a thing exists...most of what Joe Hill does. Okay, all of what Joe Hill does. And every single short story by Caitlin R Kiernan.

6. Does music ever influence your writing?

Sometimes I'll hear a song and want to write a story that evokes the same emotion that the song evokes. For the last third of the last book in The Goddess War trilogy, I did keep the same old CD on repeat, but that's rare. I'm preparing to shut everything down after this interview is over, to achieve total silence for the book i'm starting now.

7. If you could do a book tour with any author who would you choose?

Any of them I've met so far, because they're all excellent people to hang out with. Maybe JK Rowling, so I wouldn't have to say anything, and could just spend the tour staring at her.

8. If you could be best friends with any character from any book, who would you choose?

Hmm. Maybe Lestat from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, because I feel like he's high maintenance but would be worth it. Or how about Legolas from Lord of the Rings? Sure, he's not that great for conversation, but I'm assuming I'd get to be in friggin Middle Earth, so there's a tradeoff.

9. Would you want Anna to be turned into a movie? Who would you want to play her?

Well, Stephenie Meyer and Meghan Hibbett's production company Fickle Fish Films is working on turning Anna into a movie, so I definitely want that to happen! I have no particular wish on who would play her. My Anna is a voice and a shape through blurry glass. I see pieces of her but never the whole girl at once. I never imagined anyone as having her face. But there have been lots of suggestions from readers: lovely, grounded, dark-haired actresses.

10. If Anna had a theme song what would it be?

This one is easy...The Fiona Apple cover of Sally's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

First off I want to say if you haven't read Anna Dressed in Blood yet DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW!

Okay here it goes.

Oh. My. Gawd.

Kendare Blake how did you get me to love a ghost so much?

As you know (as long as you've read the first book) at the end of "Anna Dressed in Blood" Anna saves Cas and his friends by taking the evil dead dude to hell. Or somewhere like hell.

Throughout this book Cas keeps seeing Anna and all of these horrible things keep happening to her. Since he's in love with her it kinda sucks watching her in pain.

So Cas wants to save her.

Excuse me? He wants to save her from hell?

Yes. Yes he does.

That's basically the premise of the whole book. Throughout the story he tries to find his way to Anna so he can save her from being hurt any further.

I don't really want to say much more than that because I don't really want to give anything away.

I can say though that Kendare did it again. And by that I mean rocked my effing socks!

This book was full of adventure and it kept me turning the page to see what was going to happen next.

Cas and Anna are one of my favorite couples and I think this book was uh-freaking-mazing!

1. What is your favorite part of being a booktuber?

I think my favorite part is the interaction I have with other book lovers. It's seriously the best to talk to people who have read the same books as you and to talk to people who feel the same way as you do about those books. I feel like I make a new friend everyday through booktube and that's incredible to me. I've never had this many friends in my life!

2. If you were a teacher and you could have your class read any 5 books, which books would you choose?

The first would be The Fault in Our Stars for obvious reasons. Then we'd have The Hunger Games, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, Where Things Come Back, and Speak.

3. What author would you want to be best firends with and why?

I always joke that I want to be just like Ransom Riggs, but I would seriously LOVE to be best friends with him. We share a lot of similar interests, one being exploring abandoned places and the other being collecting old photographs. I just feel he and I would get along great.

4. If you could be in any book to movie adaptation which book would you choose and what character would you want to play?

I would love to play Jacob from Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, mostly because I feel attached to that book and supposedly the movie adaptation is in the hands of Tim Burton and I would be thrilled to work with him.

5. After my reviews I include a playlist of songs that remind me of the book/character. Do you ever hear a song that reminds you of a book/character?

I've been listening to the song "Breathe Out" by Faye a lot recently and it reminds me a lot of Divergent for some reason.

1. How long have you loved reading?

I have loved reading ever since I was a toddler. My mom would take me to the library every day while we waited for my sisters to finish cheerleading practice. We'd read together for hours, and then even longer at night before my mom put me to bed. She definitely instilled my love of reading on me, and she is the reason why I'm pursuing a writing career.

2. What is the first book that you remember loving?

The first books I fell in love with were all the books from the Goosebumps series. That's what my mom would read to me all the time. I never cared for picture books like Dr. Seuss at that age; all I wanted was Goosebumps!

3. What is your absolute favorite series?

My absolute favorite series is Harry Potter. It will always have a place in my heart.

4. Who are some of your favorite authors?

My favorite authors are R. L. Stine, J. K. Rowling, Edgar Allan Poe, and Suzanne Collins.

5. If you could spend the day with any author and go anywhere with them who would you choose and where would you go?

I would choose R. L. Stine just because his Goosebumps books influenced me so much. I'd probably go to a creepy abandoned building with him and collab on a ghost story or something.

6. What book are you most excited to read this year?

I am so excited to read Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Can't wait!

7. What are some of the best books you've read so far this year?

I am reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth right now and am really enjoying it. So far, that is my favorite book of the year.

8. What made you want to make videos on youtube?

I first came across BookTube videos when I searched "leather bound books" on YouTube. I discovered one booktuber who showed his collection of leather bound books, and then I started seeing many others. It wasn't until after I started making videos to catalogue my own collection that I realized this was an actual community of book-lovers on YouTube. I then started taking video-making a little more seriously, and now I have almost 2,500 subscribers and have been doing it for nearly two years. It's been a great experience!

9. What is your favorite book to movie adaptation?

I love To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and the film adaption from the 1960s is pure brilliance. I can't help but tear up every time I watch it. It's a beautiful film based off a beautiful book. Perfection!

10. If you were in the Hunger Games...would you win?

Hmmm... wow, that's a tough one. Honestly, I'm really not sure. I'd probably just avoid everyone and wait for the tributes to kill each other off until I was left against one. The game-makers probably wouldn't like that plan, but that's what I would try to do. Haha!
