1. Tale As Old As Time

A popular theme, trope, or setting that you will never get tired of reading. It seems that I will never get tired of the good girl bad boy stories. I'm a sucker for them apparently.

2. Belle
A book that you bought for its beautiful cover that's just as beautiful on the inside too.Actually I loved the cover for Beastly and obviously I loved the story...since you know it was a retelling of a story I love.

3. Beast
A book you didn't expect much from but pleasantly surprised you.
When I read Dangerous Lies by Becca Fitzpatrick a couple of months ago I knew I would like it but I didn't expect to LOVE it as much as I do.

4. Gaston
A book everyone loves but you don't.
I tried reading The Book Thief forever ago but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I just wasn't in the right place at the time I started it but I couldn't finish it. Don't hate me Book Thief lovers.

5. Lefou
A loyal sidekick that you can't help but love more than their counterpart.
I don't know if he'd be considered a sidekick but Adrian from Vampire Academy/Bloodlines is my love.

6. Mrs. Potts, Chip, Lumiere, and Cogsworth
A book that helped you through a difficult time or really taught you something.
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. No doubt.

7. Something There
A book or series that you weren't into at first but picked up towards the end.
I remember when I first started reading The Mortal Instruments and I liked the first but I didn't love it. I decided to keep reading and ended up loving the series.

8. Be Our Guest
A fictional character that you'd love to have over for dinner
Oh wow, seriously? Just one? I'm going to go with Rose from Vampire Academy because she eats a lot of junk and that sounds like a good time. :P

A Little Something Different

Good afternoon fellow book lovers and pop culture enthusiasts, I have a little something different to talk to you about today.
The other day I was approached by a woman named Emma who is the Community Coordinator for Turo, which is a car sharing company from San Francisco. (Like where the Full House family live.) If you go to their site right now you can rent the Wagon Queen Family Truckster that's modeled after the National Lampoon Vacation movies!!
Emma asked me to share a post about cars from pop culture that I would like to drive and I thought it sounded like so much fun. I'm going to share my picks below but I'd love to hear what you all think too so please leave some comments!!
If you want to check out the site click HERE
 Here we go!!

The first car that came to mind when Emma wrote me was this beauty:

That is Cher's 1994 Jeep Wrangler from Clueless - in case you didn't recognize it you silly thing - and when I see it it makes me smile. Oh the fun I would have renting this car.

One Tree Hill is my favorite show in the whole world and Peyton's 1993 Mercury Comet is my dream. I want this car so freaking bad and to be able to rent it...I can't even imagine.
Brandon Walsh's 1965 Ford Mustang is my third choice because...well Brandon Walsh.

Confess The TV Show Review

When I first found out that they were turning Confess into a show I was excited because I love Colleen Hoover but I had never read the book so I didn't really know how excited I could get.
I was sent the book from Atria and loved it so freaking much I cried. Legit cried guys. So to say that I was excited about the show after I finished the book would be an understatement. I was counting down the days.
I'm not going to get into the plot of the show because I've already reviewed the book, which I linked below.
What I am going to do is tell you what I thought of the show. So lets get on with it.
First off the cast. Ryan Cooper as Owen is genius. My gosh that is an attractive fella. He was sexy even when he wasn't trying to be and that's exactly how I saw Owen while reading the book. Then we have Katie Leclerc as Auburn and I thought they did an excellent job with her as well. After watching the trailer for the show I knew that they couldn't have found two better people to portray our beloved Auburn and Owen. As for the rest of the cast I want to quickly say that they were amazing too. I really loved every actor for every part.
Alright here's where I'm going to suck. I really didn't like how much was changed from the book. I know it has to happen sometimes but some things I just thought were unnecessary. I also felt like it was very cheaply shot. If I would have watched the show without ever reading the book I would have thought it was good and I still would have liked it. But because I love the book so much I felt like it helped me love it more. I would still go out and buy it if there was a way but to me the book had so much more impact.
All in all though I'm very happy I got to see these characters that I love come to life and if you are a fan of Confess - or even if your not - you should check it out!!

Beastly Lights by Theresa Jane

As always I want to start this review by telling you fellow booknerds of mine that I was sent this book for my honest opinion. So that is what you shall get ;)
Beastly Lights follows Freya who is a struggling artist and is won in a poker game by bad boy musician Liam Henderson. Oh yeah, her brother is the one who bet her. Rude.
Freya has to leave her tiiiiiny apartment that's filled with...well...not much excpet a coffee maker that is duct taped together, and go live with Liam at his penthouse apartment as his maid.
Freya isn't happy about living with the studly rockstar so she pretty much does everything she can to make him fire her. She moves furniture where he doesn't want it, she makes a mess, she goes into his room without permission, and she paints a mural on his beautifully white wall. Despite all of this Liam has a soft spot for Freya and the two begin to form a friendship that so obviously is leading to more.
Here's where I get to be honest, I'm actually not sure how I felt about this book and I feel terrible saying that. I loved the story, I enjoy reading books about normal people who fall in love with actors or musicians. Shout out to To Love Jason Thorn and The Beaumont Series. I also really liked how protective Liam is and how unique Freya is. There were parts when I was reading that I realized I was smiling and while reading it I wanted to see what was going to happen. I also had moments where I really liked Liam and Freya as individuals and obviously as a couple. But most of the time I really didn't like either of them. Sometimes I thought Freya was to much. Who would paint a mural in someones house knowing they'd hate it and after knowing them for like 4 days? I also didn't like how temperamental Liam was. I thought that the characters had serious potential and sometimes it was right there but then I lost it again.
My favorite character in the book was actually Ryan who is Liams stylist. He is so funny and I really loved every scene he appeared in.
For the most part I'm glad I read this book because it was good, I just wish it was more.
