Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines

I don't even know the words that I can use to explain how much I loved this book.
I am obsessed with Fallen Too Far, Never Too Far, and Forever Too Far by Abbi Glines so when I found out that she was writing companion books from Woods and Della's perspectives I almost passed out.
Seriously amazing.
Ah.
Woods.
Woods + Della = One of my all time favorite couples!
Okay so basically this book is in Woods and Della's POV...which I'm sure you've picked up on since I just said it. At the end of Forever Too Far we got a sneak peak into Woods and Della's relationship but in Twisted Perfection we got to read how it all happened.
Della has had a seriously rough past and goes on a trip to discover herself. On the trip she meets Woods and the two end up having a one night stand. When Della wakes up in the morning Woods is gone and she moves on to the next town. While in the next town Della finds a job to make more money for her trip. Unfortunately she hooks up with a douche and her new friend Tripp sends her to his place in Rosemary Beach and sets her up with a job at the local golf course.
When Della arrives she realizes it's the same place where she met Woods and somewhat hopes she might run into him again.
Well lucky for her she does. If you've read the Too Far series then you know that Woods runs the golf course. Yep, that means he's her new boss.
The sucky part is Woods's parents are forcing him to marry the devil even though he's got it bad for Della.
A lot of crazy things happen and it's awesome.
Della and Woods are an amazing couple and i'm so happy that I read this book. I loved it so much that I picked up Simple Perfection right after I finished this one. Once they were both finished I almost reread them.
Yeah, they're that good.
Check them out!!

Because Feelings Matter Tag

1. What book made you feel confident, either about yourself or your life?
Hmm...this is probably silly but when I read the Hunger Games it made me feel like I could kick some serious ass just like Katniss. Of course I did not go out and act like Katniss but it made me feel like I could ;)

2. What book made you feel sympathetic or sympathise greatly with the characters?
The Fault in Our Stars. Hands down. You guys are probably so sick of that answer but lezbehonest this book gave us all crazy amounts of feels.

3. What book made you feel anxious?
Catching Fire! I'm surprised I didn't start hyperventilating while reading this book.

4. What book made you feel annoyed?
Ruby Red or Allegiant. Ruby Red because I really disliked the book and couldn't stand reading it. And Allegiant because...why Veronica Roth?! Why!

5. What book made you feel disappointed?
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. If i'm being honest though it didn't just leave me disappointed it also left me sad, hurt, confused and pissed the heck off.

6. What book made you feel confused?
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer for sure. I've read the first two books in this series and i'm still confused!

7. What book made you feel satisfied?
I'm assuming most people will choose the final book in a trilogy/series but i'm not going to do that. I'm actually going to choose Anna & The French Kiss because it's amazing and left me very happy and satisfied.

8. What book made you feel like you could really relate to the main character?
See now I want to choose Bella Swan from Twilight however that probably sounds silly because i'm not in love with a vampire and my best friend is not in fact a werewolf. Buuuut I always felt like our personalities were very similar and we both love Edward Cullen of course. ;)

Top Ten Tuesday April 22, 2014

Top Ten Characters That Stole My Heart

10) Etienne St. Clair (Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins)
I haven't read this book in a year or two and I can still remember how I felt the first time I was introduced to St. Clair. He's one of the funniest and sweetest characters I've ever read about. Ah. I love him.

9) Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins)
She's freaking Katniss Everdeen people. Who doesn't love her?

8) R (Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion)
R is the only zombie that you want to hug and be best friends with. He stole my heart in about two seconds.

7) Alice Cullen (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer)
I want a sister just like Alice. She's so incredibly loveable and she'll always be one of my favorite characters.

6) Bella Swan (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer)
Don't give me any crap for this one guys. We all know that Bella is one of the best characters in a Y.A. book. She was brave when she needed to be, funny when she wasn't trying to be, and loveable all the time.

5) Ponyboy Curtis (The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton)
Who the hell doesn't love Ponyboy?

4) Rule (Rule by Jay Crownover)
I'm pretty sure you all know how much I love Rule... I only talk about him in almost every blog post I do.

3) Patrick (Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky)
Patrick is one of my all time favorite characters. He's so witty and loveable it's crazy.

2) Charlie (Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky)
I'll admit that I fell in love with the movie Charlie more than the book Charlie (GASP!) but the character itself did steal my heart.

1) Augustus Waters (The Fault In Our Stars by John Green)
Yeah...I'm sure you didn't see that one coming.

Favorite Films Tag

I know what you're thinking, "This is a book blog, why the hell is she doing a post about movies?" Well the answer is, "I'm still in my gosh darn reading slump and I don't want to not post."
Geesh.

I saw this tag on YouTube and was all "Hmm I like movies." So I decided to do the tag. Basically all you do is list your top 10 favorite movies. Pretty damn simple.

Here we go.

10) Breakfast Club
I almost feel stupid for putting this on my list because who doesn't love the Breakfast Club?
9) Beauty & The Beast
Don't judge me. This is by far my favorite Disney movie EVER.
8) Pretty In Pink
I love everything about this movie (Except for the horrible kiss at the end. Seriously guys get your shit together.) Duckie is by far one of my favorite movie characters ever and the scene where he dances and sings to Otis Redding is my favorite scene from any movie ever.
7. Clueless

I was 5 years old when this movie came out and I kid you not I wore knee high socks and plaid skirts for about a year.
6. A Walk To Remember
I don't feel as if I need to explain myself on this one. I just don't.
5) Speed
You put Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock in a movie and you get magic. Unless we're talking about the Lake House and in that case you don't get magic you get complete and utter confusion. But I digress. This movie is so full of action you can't help but get completely entranced by it.
4) I Love You Man
This is by far my favorite comedy. Every time I watch this movie I cry from laughing so hard. Jason Segel and Paul Rudd are two of the funniest actors around.
3) Funny Girl
Barbra Streisand people. This movie came out in the...60s I think and it's fantastic. The last scene where Barbra/Fanny sings My Man oh God, it's the best.
2) Perks of Being a Wallflower
Charlie. There you go, that's the reason I love this movie. If you haven't read this book or watched this movie then we can't be friends anymore. I cry every time I watch this movie because of all the feels it gives me. Every. Time.
1) Almost Famous
It's a movie about rock and roll and band-aids, how could it not be my favorite movie?

And for your reading pleasure I'm going to add a new category. Top 5 books I could watch over and over again.

5) Pitch Perfect
Hi-sterical! Freaking Fat Amy. Freaking Breakfast Club references. Ah.
4) Liar Liar
The pen is blue! Hehe. I mentioned earlier that Duckies Otis impression is my favorite scene from any movie, well the blue pen scene from Liar Liar is probably my second favorite scene. I get giggling so hard that I cry every time.

3) What to Expect When You're Expecting
I had a feeling that I'd enjoy this movie but I didn't know that it would become a movie that I could watch again and again. It makes me smile so much.
2) He's Just Not That Into You
I don't know what it is about this movie but I find it so entertaining. It makes me want to be someones exception. (If you've watched the movie then you know exactly what I'm talking about.)
1) 27 Dresses
I have literally finished this movie and played it again. That is how much I love it.

Happy Bookaholic Tag

1. What do you love about buying new books?
The feeling you get knowing you're holding a new adventure in your hands. Wow that sounded lame.

2. How often do you buy new books?
I bought a book last Friday and that's the first book I've bought in months. I used to go on crazy book buying sprees but lately I just haven't been interested. It's a problem, I know.

3. Bookstore or online book shopping, which do you prefer?
I love going to the bookstore because it's fun to be able to see the books and hold them. But I also like online shopping because it's usually a lot cheaper, especially for hardcover book.

4. Do you have a favorite bookstore?
There is a used/new bookstore about two hours away that I've gone to quite a bit and I LOVE it.

5. Do you pre-order books?
The only physical book I've ever pre-ordered is Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. But I have ordered quite a few e-books.

6. Do you have a monthly book buying limit?
Not right now only because I haven't really been buying books. When I do get addicted to book buying I usually buy them used so I never really spend a lot of money.

7. Book buying bans, are they something for you?
Ha. That's laughable. No, they are in fact not for me.

8. How big is your wish-list?
So. Big.

9. Which 3 books from your wish-list or pre-orders would you like to own now?-Nash by Jay Crownover
-Rush Too Far by Abbi Glines
-City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

Warning: I've Come Down With The Book Slump

It's happened to me guys. I've come down the dreaded illness that we call...the Book Slump. (dun dun dun!)

I started reading Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare in February and have yet to finish it. I feel as if that monster of a book is at fault for the book slump, the carrier of the disease if you will. The funny thing is I actually enjoy the book, I just don't have any desire at all to read it.

I know, I know, pick up a different book. I can't! I look at my books and I run screaming!
Okay that was a bit dramatic. I don't actually run.

The reason I'm telling you all about this is for 2 reasons
1) To apologize for all the tags/top ten Tuesdays I've done. I have no reviews to write if i'm not reading.
2) To beg for your help to get me out of my slump

If you have ANY suggestions on how to cure The Slump then please let me know.

Until then I'll be lying in bed with a warm washcloth on my forehead, wallowing in self pity.

Bump In The Night Book Tag

1) Which are your favorite supernatural/horror/scary characters to read about? (e.g. vampires, werewolves, witches, monsters, serial killers, murderers etc).
Vampires, fo sho.

2) Which scene from any book would be your ultimate nightmare to have been part of?
Oh gosh that's a horrible question, there are so many choices! Umm okay so this is probably lame but the part in New Moon when Bella is alone in the woods and Laurent comes up and is all, "I'm going to eat you." Yeah...that scared the crap out of me.

3) If you could visit and explore any one scary or evil setting which would you pick and why?
Well since you said I could choose and not that I HAVE to choose, I choose none. I don't want to go anyplace scary people!

4) Which book was so frighteningly terrible that you almost fell asleep for eternity trying to finish it?
Ruby Red drove me nuts. I know that pretty much everyone thinks it's just fantastic but it literally almost put me to sleep.

5) Name one book you wish you could pull certain pages out of and swap for others to make it better?
Freaking Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Don't get me started.

6) If you could turn any 'bad or evil' character into a good character, who would you pick and why?
I wouldn't pick anyone because that would ruin the book. Geesh. HOWEVER, I did watch BethJune327's video and she picked Cole from Charmed and I tooootally agree. (I know it's a TV show buuuut it still counts, right?

Quick fire round:
1) Favorite vampire character?
Edward Cullen and Adrian Ivashkov. (Yes i'm picking two, don't hate)

2) Favorite werewolf character?
Jacob Black, hellur.

3) Favorite witch character?
I really like Sophie from the Hex Hall series!

4) Favorite monster character?
Uh. Hm. Psh. I don't know.

5) Favorite ghost character?
Anna from Anna Dressed In Blood. Ah she's so cool!

6) Favorite serial killer/murderer character?
Dexter. He's the only serial killer that I still love.

Reading Habits Tag

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I have a SUPER comfy chair in my room that I love to read on.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I'm a bookmark lover! I actually have a mini collection of bookmarks so there's your answer.

3. Can you stop reading or do you have to wait until you finish a chapter?
Usually I have to finish the chapter or wait for a space break. The only time I'll just stop reading is if I have to or if I start to fall asleep.

4. Do you eat or drink while eating?
And risk ruining my book?! Heavens no!

5. Can you read while listening to music or watching tv?
You're on a Book Lovers Playlist....yes I do listen to music while I read ;)
As far as the television...well...I can have it on in the background if I'm not that interested in the show but why waste electricity people?

6. One book at a time or several at once?
I'm a one book at a time person. Well...usually I am. Lately I've been reading a physical copy of a book during the day and then an ebook at night before bed. What usually happens though is I can't stop reading one of the books and then finish that one without reading the other one.

7. Reading at home or everywhere?
Ha. Everywhere.

8. Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently in your head. I used to read out loud when I was in elementary school and this girl in my class made fun of me...so I don't do that anymore.

9. Do you read ahead or skip pages?
I'm not even going to lie to you guys, when I read New Moon and Bella is at the campfire with Jacob and they're going over legends...I skip that part. I read it through the first time I read the book but every time I reread it I usually skip it. I also used to read the last few pages of Nicholas Sparks books because I needed to know how bad my heart was going to break.

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it new?
I like to keep my books looking new but sometimes breaking the spine is inevitable.

11. Do you write in books?
The only book I have EVER written in is The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
