A book that everybody pressured you to read
Well I've been pressured to read Harry Potter but I don't succumb to peer pressure so I have yet to read it :P

A book you read before it was cool
Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. I remember renting this book from the library and after I finished it it blew up on booktube! I felt so cool because I read I before it became super popular.

A book you don't remember whether you liked it or not
Oh goodness...um...I don't really remember if I liked the L.A. Candy series by Lauren Conrad. I want to say that I enjoyed it but...well...I don't remember. ;)

A book that was so beautiful you had to instagram
I've never put a picture of a book on instagram...as a matter of fact I JUST made an instagram account. If I was going to put up a pic of a book I'd choose...hmm...Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson. I LOVE that cover!

A book you wish would be turned into a movie
Either the Marked Men series by Jay Crownover or All Lined Up by Cora Carmack (Or Faking It)

Goodreads

A book that you would recommend to everyone
That's a hard question because some people only read a certain genre. But if I have to answer i'd go with The Fault in Our Stars because I don't know one person who's read that book that didn't like it. It's simply beautiful.

Book Collectors Tag

Woo hoo it's a tag! Don't hate me...i've been in a slump again. However thanks to the amazing Cora Carmack I am no longer in the slump and you'll have a review of All Lined Up on Thursday! Woo hoo again!

1. How many books do you own?
I wish I could give you an answer but I honestly have no idea. I've had to put some books in boxes (I know, I know...it's horrible) but I've run out of room so I only have enough room to display certain books. So because I have a bunch put away there is no way to count them and give you an answer and for that I am so terribly sorry. :)

2. How long has it taken to accumulate your collection?I've been collecting books since before I could really read but I'd say I got heavy into collecting when I was about 16 or 17.

3. How often do you buy books?
I used to buy books ALL the time but lately I haven't had the fundage for it and there are no books that I feel like I HAVE to have. Weird, right?

4. How do you arrange your books?
Right now I only have a small bookshelf in my room and then a shelf above my window where I display books. On the shelf above my window I have my Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices series, The Caster Chronicals, The Lux Series and Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children. And then on my small shelf I have my signed books on the top shelf, some of my favorites on my second shelf and then atm I have makeup stored on my third shelf...bad book lover.

5. What is the first book you remember buying?
Are You There God It's Me Margaret by Judy Blume. Ahhhh I used to love Judy Blume.

6. What is the last book that you purchased?
All Lined Up by Cora Carmack and it is fab.u.lous.

7. What is the longest book you own?
One of the Harry Potter books...don't ask which one because I've never read them because again I'm a bad bad book lover.

8. What is the shortest book that you own?
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner probably.

His carefully crafted façade masks a secret hurt that he's reluctant to share with Ellie, even as they embark on a passionate affair that sends them hurtling toward a fate neither expected. The Fault in Our Stars Movie Review

I'm somewhat hesitant to write this review for two reasons--

1. This book/movie is insanely popular

2. I can't possibly express in words how incredible this movie is

I saw this movie yesterday and fell in love with the characters all over again.

I've read the book three times and have been super pumped for the movie ever since they started talking about it.

Whenever a book is turned into a movie I get excited but also a little bit nervous. What if they don't get the characters right? What if they change everything? What if they cut out my favorite scenes?

I was never nervous about this movie because I knew that they would stick as close to the book as possible. Why? Because they'd have a lot of pissed of TFIOS lovers if they changed to much or didn't get the characters right.

After the movie I said, "I've seen a lot of book to movie adaptations and I have NEVER been that happy with the actors that they cast. They were spot on!" Well actually right after the movie I was a sobbing idiot but after I got my emotions in check that's when I talked about the actors.

Shailene Woodley is quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses. I used to watch Secret Life of The American Teenager and I'm not going to lie she drove me nuts. The character of Amy was so whiny and annoying so I just associated Shai with that. Obviously that's not the case because she's also not an ass kicking dauntless girl or a terminal cancer patient. You always think that the actor/actress is the character they're playing. It's hard to separate.
Anyway--I've gotten off topic as I usually do--Shailene did an amazing job portraying Hazel. NOBODY could have played that part better. My favorite thing about her being cast is the fact that she loves Hazel as much as we do.

I also LOVED Ansel Elgort as Augustus! How could you not? I've watched the trailer a million and a half times and have always been happy with him as Gus. When he walked onto that screen I felt so content. He was Augustus. He looked like I thought he should look, he talked like he should talk and he had that intriguing arrogance that Gus has.

The supporting characters were also amazing. Nat Wolf as Isaac was a perfect choice! I loved Hazels parents, Gus's parents and Peter Van Houten. (Yes I even loved Van Houten)

The movie stayed true to the book and that makes me the happiest book lover in the world! A lot of the dialogue came straight from the book. Word for freaking word.

There were obviously some changes to it but I didn't mind. They weren't extreme changes and they were necessary for the movie.

All in all I thought this movie was simply stunning. As soon as it was over I wanted to watch it again.

And yes...I cried. All around me you could hear people sniffling and see them wiping their eyes. John Green is so talented and he makes you feel like you are best friends with the characters. I have never in my life loved a book so much and I am so happy that they turned it into a movie so we could see our Augustus and Hazel on the big screen.

If you haven't seen it yet then GO! You won't regret it.

Okay? Okay.

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Books That Should Be In Your Beach Bag
10. Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys by Kate Brian
I giggled in this book. Straight up giggled. It made me smile like a fool and crush hard on Finn.

9. Amy & Rogers Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
This book had maps, playlists and pictures of places the characters see--honestly how cool is that?

8. A Midsummers Nightmare by Kody Keplinger
I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of Kody Keplingers first book but I've since gotten on the Keplinger bandwagon. I really really enjoyed this book because it was witty and cute and makes for the perfect beach read.

7. This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
Whenever I hear the song Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles I just smile and get all happy inside which is the same thing that happens to me when I see/think of this book. It was simply adorable and a must read.

6. The Kiss Off by Sarah Billington
Can I just say that I think Sarah Billington is one of the funniest authors around? This book made me laugh out loud and as soon as I finished it I wanted to read it again. If you're looking for a light read that will make you laugh so hard your belly hurts then this is the book for you.

5. Between The Lines by Tammara Webber
If you've been following my blog for a while then you know how much I adore Tammara Webbers Between The Lines series. It's unlike anything I've ever read before and I'm certain that pretty much everyone who reads it will fall desperately in love with it like I did.

4. Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines
Um hello have I not said enough about these books already? The Rosemary Beach series is one of my all time favorite series and Fallen Too Far started my love. If you have yet to read them then what the hell is wrong with you? Go buy it on your e-reader, order a copy or go to the store asap! You need this book in your life!

3. Faking It by Cora Carmack
This is the second book I read by Cora Carmack and I loved it even more than the first. I LOVED the characters and couldn't put the book down. I think New Adult books are perfect for the beach because they're fun and sexy and pretty easy to get into.

2. Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines
We get to read more about Woods...do I need to say more?

1. Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Pretty much everyone on the book loving planet has read this book but in case you haven't you should definitely pick it up before your beach adventure. It's the perrrfect beachy read.
