The Ultimate Book Tag

Alright people this is a 20 question book tag so i'm not going to take my fine time writing an intro to this.

: )

Enjoy!!!!!!!

1. What are you reading right now?
I'm currently reading City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. I just saw the City of Bones in the theater so I decided I needed more Jace in my life. So far he's not made it worth my time.

2. Do you have any idea what you'll read when you're done with that?
Eh. Um. Hm. Nope.

3. What 5 books have you always wanted to read but haven't gotten around to?
The Great Gatsby
Catcher In The Rye
The Book Theif
Wuthering Heights
Dracula

4. What magazines do you have in your bathroom?
Ha that question makes me giggle. I don't have any mags in the bathroom actually.

5. What's the worst book you've ever read?
Honestly I don't have any idea. I didn't really care for Ruby Red but I wouldn't say I hated it.

6. What book seemed really popular but you didn't like it?
Grrr I don't know. Well no that's not true. I read Delirium by Lauren Oliver and LOVED the ending but the begining kinda sucked for me.

7. What's the one book you always recommend to just about everyone?
Can You Keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella. Why? Because it's freaking hilarious!

8. What are you three favorite poems?
That's a good one.

9. Where do you usually get your books?
Honestly most books I buy are from independent/used bookstores. But I also buy them from Barnes and Noble and Amazon occasionally.

10. Where do you usually read your books?
I usually read in the chair in my bedroom. Also known as the worlds comfiest chair.

11. When you were little did you have any particular reading habits?
Um. I read every night before bed or my mom read to me. Does that count?

12. What is the last book you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn't put it down?
The last book I remember doing that to me was Rule by Jay Crownover. Holy crap I love that book.

13. Have you ever faked reading a book?
No that's just silly.

14. Have you ever bought a book just because you liked the cover?
I would obviously be lying to you if I said no. I happen to like pretty things. And I happen to like books. So put them together and you've got magic baby.

15. What was your favorite book as a child?
I remember loving If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

16. What book changed your life?
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green hands down.

17. What is your favorite passage from a book?
Well the first one that comes to mind is "As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once." BTW that's from The Fault in Our Stars in case you haven't had a chance to read it while living under that rock.

18. Who are your top 5 favorite authors?
See now this is actually a difficult question. Sometimes my opinions change on authors but as of now my top 5 are...
Tammara Webber
Jay Crownover
Sarah Billington
John Green
Sophie Kinsella
But I also really love Richelle Mead, Kendare Blake, Abbi Glines, Cora Carmack and many many more!
(That's right I cheated and gave you bonus authors. You're welcome.)

19. What book has no one heard about but should read?
Shoot every book I love everyone should read ; ) But most of them everyone has heard about so I can't answer this. Boo I suck.

20. What is your favorite classic?
I haven't really read any classics except A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten
Most Memorable
Secondary Characters
9. Magnus Bane (Mortal Instruments)
I don't really know what you expect me to say for this one. Magnus is awesome. End of story.

8. Academy of Lies (The Kiss Off)
Yes I choose the whole band. Don't argue with me and say that doesn't count either because it does. And if it doesn't well rules were made to be broken. All of these guys crack me up! They are so cool and so funny. Love them!

7. Finnick (The Hunger Games)
He's freaking Finnick do I really need to give a reason why I chose him?

6. Patrick (Perks of Being a Wallflower)
Okay okay so i'm not going to lie. I choose Patrick from the movie not the book. I know he's the same but I felt like I got to see more of him in the movie and I LOVED him. Seriously he's one of my favorite characters ever.

5. Cinna (The Hunger Games)
I love Cinna so much! I think he is an amazing character and I wish that I could've read more about him.

4. Dawson (The Lux Series)
Technically i'm cheating with this one. I read the novella about Dawson and that's why I love him. But he is a secondary character so ha I win.

3. Alice Cullen (Twilight)
She can see the future people and she likes to make you pretty. I love her.

2. Cora (Rule & Jet)
I can't explain how much I love Cora! She is so funny and so badass! I wish we were best friends.

1. Adrian Ivashkov (Vampire Academy)
I effing love him. No seriously I love him. I loved him from the second he came on as a character in the Vampire Academy. He's so wonderful and so sexy it's frustrating. I'm so glad I get to read more about him in the Bloodlines series.

I'm really angry with myself for not being able to think of ten characters! Agh! It's just so stinkin' hard!

Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines

I have two words for you.

Rush. Finlay.

I'm in love. Serious book crush love people.

Abbi Glines you are a beautiful beautiful woman.

I've read The Vincent Boys and The Vincent Brothers by Abbi Glines and I enjoyed both of those but this trilogy??? This trilogy is one of the best trilogys i've ever read!

Nope i'm not even kidding.

New Adult is like my new favorite genre.

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors now.

Fallen Too Far is about Blaire Wynn and Rush Finlay. Blaire has been dealt some pretty crappy cards and goes to go live with her father. However when she gets there her father isn't home but his new step son is. As a matter of fact it turns out the house that she was sent to is owned by her fathers new step son.

How does a young fella own a house? Well because he's the son of a famous rock legend.

Already you find him sexy don't you? Well ladies he also has tattoos and piercings. Keep your panties on i'm not finished with the review.

So anyways Rush makes it very clear that he hates Blaire's father so she assumes he hates her also.

Oh Blaire, how wrong you are.

Anywho Blaire gets a job at the local country club and ends up meeting some pretty cool people.

Problem is even though she's enjoying her new friends and job she can't get Rush off her mind. He's sexy and unfortunalty with a new chick every night.

Eventually though they can't deny their feelings for each other anymore and BAM just like that they became one of my all time favorite couples.

What's really cool about this book is it's not just romance. There is a LOT of history with the characters and shit gets cray!

I'm so in love with this book it's almost a problem. I can't stop thinking about how delish it was! I obviously loved Rush but I also really loved Blaire. She was a super kick ass girlie and I loved that. I really enjoyed the supporting characters also.

Seriously you need to check this book out. I promise you will NOT regret it. It's uh-mazing.

The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorenson

This book is genius. Seriously it's pure genius.
I had actually read "The Secret of Ella and Micha" and while I enjoyed it I wasn't desperatly in love with it.

Well "The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden" is a whole other story people.

I'm hopelessly in love with this book.

Ahh. So good.

Alright alright--enough drooling.

The book is about...well...Callie and Kayden.

One night Callie goes to a party to pick up her brother and while looking for him she sees Kayden being beaten up by his father.

She speaks up and Kaydens dad leaves. After he's gone Callie goes with Kayden to help him cleaned up.
However after that she doesn't speak to him again.

Slip ahead a few months and Callie & Kayden are attending the same college.
When Kayden sees her he wants to thank her for basically saving his life that night. However after he thanks her Callie lets him know that it wasn't that big of a deal. She says that anybody would have done the same.
Except not everybody would.

Kayden finds himself to be super drawn to Callie but she's always off.
Why is she off? Because Callie has a secret herself. An issue from the past that haunts her every day.

Even though Callie has all these walls up Kayden doesn't stop fighting to push them all down.

What I love most about this story is that it's got more than just a "romance" aspect to it. Sure the couple fall for each other...it would suck if they didn't. But it also has an intence aspect to it also. It's almost like reading an action book for as fast as it gets your heart pumping.

I would most definatly recommend this book.

p.s. Jessica Sorenson that freaking ending almost killed me. I can't wait to read the second book!

This or That Book Tag

You read that title right today i've decided to do a book tag.

I've done a tag before and it was super fun so I figured it was about dang time I did another one.

Enjoy!

: )

1. Audio or book in hand?

Easy. Book in hand. I've tried to listen to audiobooks before but I just can't do it. My issue is after reading a book you get a voice stuck in your head for the characters so then when you listen to an audiobook it's like heck no techno that's not what blabbity blah sounds like. Perhaps if I listened to an audiobook of a book i've never read the story would be different.

2. Softcover or hardcover?

I hate this question. Some days when I read a paperback i'm like hot damn paperbacks are the way to go. But then when I have a nice big hardcover in my hands i'm like nooooope hardcover is where the heart is baby.

3. Fiction or non-fiction?

Hah. Fiction.

4. Fantasy world or real life issues?

Good question. I go back and forth actually. Sometimes all I want is to read contemporary for like a month. But then I get all real life'd out and i'm like bring on some sexy vamps.

5. Harry Potter or Twilight?

I feel as if this is an unfair question. It's unfair because if I put Twilight i'm going to start receiving death threats. But I have to say Twilight---WAIT DON'T THROW ANYTHING! First of all I adore Twilight and second...i've never read Harry Potter.

6. Kindle, iPad or other?

I do enjoy reading on my Kindle a whole heck of a lot. What's funny is if I start reading on my kindle I only want to read on my kindle for a few weeks. Real live books just don't work for me. But then when I inevitably get sick of it and switch back to olden day actual books i'm all ew kindle real books rock.

7. Borrow or buy?

I have no problem with borrowing books from the library. My wallet is actually a big fan of the library. However I really enjoy owning the book. Especially if it's one of my favorites. And if it's pretty.

8. Bookstore or online?

Well since I live in a place that doesn't even know what a bookstore is I suppose I have to say online. But I love going to actual bookstores. There's just something about them that just makes me all happy on the inside.

9. Tell me one time or total trilogy?

Totes depends on my mood. That's a lie. It also depends on the story. Sometimes after I finish a book i'm like holy Percy Jackson I need mooooore. But then other times i'm like eh i'm glad that it's over after just one.

10. Monster read or short and sweet?

Again depends on my mood. Sometimes I see a big book and I almost wet myself. Other times i'm like oh yeah i'm going to take you on big boy.

11. Starry eyed romance or full on action?

Can I have both please? Is that being greedy?

12. Curl up in your snuggie or bathe in the sun?

Well I don't have a snuggie...and reading in the sun hurts my eyes.

13. Hot chocolate or latte?

What does this have to do with books? I could spill!

14. Read the review or decide for yourself?

Sometimes I read reviews, especially the ones on goodreads. But 6 out of 10 times I just decide for myself. That's a great thing to say since i'm a book reviewer ;)

Tammara Webber Interview

Honestly right now i'm speechless.
You probably already know but that pretty lady
<----- right there
is Tammara Webber.

Oh. My. God.

She is one of my top 5 favorite authors and i'm in love with her and her books.

Thank you SO SO much for doing this interview with me Tammara. It honestly means everything to me.

Enjoy!!

1. What is your absolute favorite thing about writing?
I assume you mean novel-writing. : ) What I love most: I get to tell stories for a living! I've been very lucky, and I'm grateful every day.
2. How long have you been writing?
I've been writing stories since I could write, and my mom has the construction paper "books" to prove it. : )
3. You can spend one whole day with any author---living or dead---who would you choose?
Hmm, I'll go with Jane Austen. I think she was probably super snarky, and I would love to see that firsthand. (If she was busy that day, Oscar Wilde.)
4. You have written so many great characters, who's your favorite?
Reid.
5. Team Graham or Team Reid?
Oops. That last question was a trick, wasn't it??? (I love Graham. I seriously do love him. He just didn't need so much work. Something about a broken guy gets to me. I thought Reid was impossibly hopeless when I began writing him, but he proved me wrong.)

6. Which character that you've written do you relate to the most?
Usually, Dori. Some days, Brooke.
7. If you could co-write a book with any author who would you choose?
Colleen Hoover! She's my writing soul-mate. <3

8. Out of all the books you've read, which character would you love to be best friends with?
Ooh, this is difficult. Hmm. Well, there are dozens of characters who'd be fantastic friends, but to be age-appropriate for me, I'll say Molly Weasley from the Harry Potter series. She's feisty, protective, loving, unafraid to speak her mind and just all-around kickass awesome. We'd have tea and then she could teach me how to fire off a howler.
9. You write about some pretty hunky fellas, who's your biggest book crush?

Why hello, Mr. Darcy...
10. If Easy had a theme song what would it be?
It actually does have a theme song! :)
Hardliners by Holcombe Waller. There's half a line from that song in the book (and yes, I got his permission before using it.) Hardliners is the song J&L listen to together in her dorm room. I love it so much. I listened to it over and over while writing Easy. (Easy also has a playlist - all of my books do; please see my blog or my YouTube profile for those.)
